10-30-20 THOUGHTS

Let’s think for a moment about our TOTALITY OF LIFE IN CHRIST.
Deut 6:4-9     "Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one! 5  "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6  "These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. 7  You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. 8  "You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. 9  "You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
The ALL’S above are simple in our THINKING and difficult in our PRACTICE!  The ALL’S
demand TOTALITY!
I cannot serve two masters.  I MUST CHOOSE GOD or THE WORLD!
In our lives, we struggle with this daily don’t we?
Our LIFE is shown in Col 3:1-4
Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2  Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. 3  For
you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4  When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.
The DEATH TO GIVE US LIFE is shown in Col 2:9-13
“For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, 10  and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority; 11  and in Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ; 12  having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13  When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh,
He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,”
The metaphor of CIRCUMCISION is connected to BAPTISM.  The entire chapter of Romans 6 gives us the context of a CHANGE IN LIFE FROM THE REMOVAL OF SIN!
Col 2:12 says that this is THROUGH FAITH IN THE WORKING OF GOD!
Colossians 3:3    DIED & HIDDEN are significant.  Verse 4 says CHRIST IS OUR LIFE!
This is “ALL” terminology!     I pray the following is not me!
Rev 3:15-16   "I know you inside and out, and find little to my liking. You’re not cold, you’re not hot—far better to be either cold or hot! 16  You’re stale. You’re stagnant. You make me want to vomit.”    [Message Bible]

My Prayer:
Make us alive Oh Father to every part of your Being.   May Christ be our life.  May our thoughts, hearts and minds come to You Oh God.  Being totally free Oh Father, may we totally live in your presence!  We need your help always.  Thank you for Jesus, and all that he means to us.  Thank you for grace and mercy and love.     In Jesus name           Amen
